- On May 26 there will be a live performance from Amhran, a Celtic band. They will be coming in at 7pm and will be playing until close. The normal hours for the bar in Castleton are noon-8pm Sunday-Thursday, and noon-10pm on Friday and Saturday; however if there is business to justify it we normally will stay open later.
- Mahar's has also started a book club in Castleton. This months book is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The next meeting will be on June 18 at 7pm. New members are encouraged to just show up and can email the host, Caitlin Mahar, at curtaincallfall@aol.com for any additional information.
